OSHOALA, AJIBADE, NNADOZIE LEAD EARLY ARRIVALS AS SUPER FALCONS WAFCON CAMP OPENS

Six time African Women’s Footballer of the year Asisat Oshoala, captain Rasheedat Ajibade, and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie were among the first players to report to the Super Falcons’ training camp in Casablanca, Morocco, ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON.

Defenders Glory Ogbonna, Oluwatosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, and Shukurat Oladipo, as well as midfielder Christy Ucheibe and goalkeeper Fatima Oloko have also arrived.

Nigeria’s camp officially opened in Casablanca on Monday as preparations got underway for the continental showpiece.

Completesports reports that sixteen more players are expected to arrive over the coming days as head coach Justine Madugu assembles his full squad for the competition.

The Super Falcons will relocate to Rabat before the start of the tournament, which runs from the 26th of July to August 16.

The defending champions will kick off their Group C campaign against the Scorchers of Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium, Rabat, on Tuesday, July 28.

They will take on the Copper Queens of Zambia in their second group game on the 1st of August before confronting Egypt in their last group game on the 5th of August as they bid to retain the WAFCON title.
