NIGERIA’S FALCONETS SETTLE IN POLAND AHEAD OF UNDER-20 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP

The Falconets of Nigeria have settled into their training camp in Trzebnica, Poland and have stepped up preparations for the 2026 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup.

Complete Sports reports that the two-time silver-medallists commenced training on Wednesday at the Stadion Miejski, Fair Play Arena.

Following their arrival in Poland on Tuesday, the Falconets immediately resumed their training programme, focusing on tactical organisation, technical execution, physical conditioning and team cohesion as they continue to build towards the championship.

As part of their final preparations, the Falconets will play two international friendly matches against Poland on the 28th of August and South Korea on the 1st of September.

The friendly game against the host nation on Friday will take place at the Municipal Stadium in Brzeg, and commence at 12noon local time.

The second game against South Korea is scheduled for the Remes Resort and Spa Football Stadium, and will kick off at 4pm local time.

The Falconets are in Group F alongside Spain, China and New Caledonia.

Nigeria will face Spain on the 7th of September, take on China on the 10th and New Caledonia on the 13th
