JAMB RESTORES CAPS, URGES SCHOOLS TO SPEED UP 2026 ADMISSIONS

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has said its Central Admissions Processing System, CAPS, has been fully restored after a temporary disruption.

In a statement on Monday, the board urged institutions to speed up their admission processes to make up for lost time and meet approved deadlines.

JAMB also advised candidates to promptly accept admission offers once they are made.

According to the board, the deadline for the 2026/2027 admission exercise is October 31 for public universities, while private universities have until November 30.

It further directed candidates who were previously awaiting results to upload or verify their credentials, following the release of the 2026 NECO Senior School Certificate Examination results.
