The man at the centre of the controversy, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi says he is ready to face the law and clear his name.
Adeyemi, who claims to be the Director-General of the disputed council, made the declaration during an appearance on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today” kn Thursday.
He insisted that he was lawfully appointed and maintained that a competent court would determine the truth of the matter.
Adeyemi dismissed allegations by the Presidency describing him as an impostor and con artist, saying he would allow the judicial process to vindicate him.
He also declined to comment on issues relating to the funding of the council, stating that the matter is already before the court.
The case is expected to come up before the Federal High Court in Abuja by July 27th.
