Regulatory Commission (NERC) Chairman, Dr. Musiliu Oseni, has joined the Minister of Power, Chief Joseph Tegbe, to call for harmony in the multi-tier electricity market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oseni stated that Nigerians are less concerned with which institution regulates the sector or formulates policy and are more interested in a reliable, uninterrupted electricity supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The NERC Chairman urged all actors in the emerging multi-tier electricity market to sustain dialogue, strengthen cooperation, and remain focused on delivering improved outcomes for electricity consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a statement, by the NERC management on Sunday, the workshop convened by the Minister of Power on 14th July 2026 in Abuja had the theme: \u2018Legal, Policy and Regulatory Harmonisation between Federal and State Institutions on the Decentralisation of the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI)\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the recent workshop in Abuja, Tegbe called for the harmonisation of regulatory and operational activities in the Nigerian Electricity Market (NEM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He stated that this will ensure that power sector players work towards the demanding goal of increasing access to electricity for
