Olaniyi Osoba, however, said that troops swiftly detected the hostile movement and responded with coordinated and overwhelming firepower.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the fierce resistance compelled the terrorists to abandon their mission and withdraw in confusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Osoba said the troops were reinforced and launched a hot pursuit of the fleeing terrorists, who had abducted an unspecified number of residents from the surrounding community during the attack, adding that the relentless pursuit led to the rescue of nine abducted locals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said only one Army officer and a Policeman paid the supreme price<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Troops of Sector
