100vw, 719px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prominent Niger Delta leaders have faulted the recent criticism of the Lagos-Calabar project by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Donald Duke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They said they are strongly in support of President Bola Tinubu for executing what they consider a critical dividend of democracy for the geo-political zone and its people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Duke, a former Cross River State Governor had , in a television interview claimed that Nigeria would not be able to fund the project and that the road would not go beyond Epe in Lagos State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The immediate past President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), Prof. Benjamin Okaba,dismissed Duke\u2019s claims as \u2018most unfortunate\u2019 and the ex-governor as a doubting Thomas engaging in \u2018executive speculation\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Okaba said those doubting the ability of the federal government to see the project through to give the administration a chance to deliver on its promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He insisted that the progress already achieved on the road on multiple fronts rubbishes Duke\u2019s view that its construction won\u2019t go beyond
