Former Big Brother Naija housemate Bella Okagbue has threatened legal action against her ex-boyfriend, Segun Olusemo, popularly known as Sheggz, over an alleged breach of promise to marry and domestic abuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella\u2019s lawyers made the allegations in response to a cease-and-desist notice reportedly issued on Sheggz\u2019s behalf after the former couple\u2019s highly publicised breakup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheggz\u2019s legal team had accused Bella of making defamatory statements about him and members of his family and demanded that she retract the statements and issue an apology. Bella\u2019s lawyers rejected the allegations as spurious and baseless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the response, Bella\u2019s legal team claimed that Sheggz had repeatedly promised to marry their client through public platforms, social media, in the presence of family members and friends, as well as privately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lawyers alleged that the promises began when the pair met during the 2022 edition of BBNaija and continued throughout their relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella\u2019s lawyers further argued that the alleged breach of promise to marry had caused their client stigma, reputational damage, emotional distress and psychological harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The legal team also accused Sheggz of subjecting Bella to alleged domestic abuse during their relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The allegations included restricting her movement and subjecting her to repeated physical and emotional harm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
