sizes=\"(max-width: 738px) 100vw, 738px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Niving on, the Igbo Community Union, Edo State Chapter, has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for nominating Honourable Anayochukwu Oli, an Enugu State indigene resident in Edo State, as commissioner-designate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The union described the decision as a historic demonstration of inclusive governance and recognition of the contributions of Ndi Igbo to the state&#8217;s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The commendation was made during a press briefing held by the union following Governor Okpebholo&#8217;s recent transmission of Honourable Oli&#8217;s name to the Edo State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President of the Igbo Community Union, Chief Samson Awiaka, said Governor&#8217; Okpebholo&#8217;s action is unprecedented and reflected the governor&#8217;s commitment to inclusiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also speaking, the Igbo Woman Leader in Edo State, Okechukwu Victoria, described the nomination as a historic event and praised Governor Okpebholo for his fairness, simplicity and inclusive leadership<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The development will mark the first time an Igbo man will hold
