The controversy surrounding the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council has deepened as the Federal Government has filed criminal charges against Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, while dismissing his claims against the Presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adeyemi had accused the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, of demanding money to facilitate his appointment and called for an independent investigation into the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council and the Presidential Economic Advisory Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also questioned the Presidency’s claim that the council does not exist, citing references he said appeared in the 2026 Appropriation Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Presidency has maintained that no such agency exists under the Tinubu administration and described Adeyemi as an impostor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Presidency, investigations by security agencies found that Adeyemi allegedly forged appointment documents, falsely presented himself as a government appointee and used the claims to seek official diplomatic support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Presidency says police investigations led to the filing of an eight-count charge against Adeyemi and two others before the Federal High Court in Abuja over allegations including forgery, impersonation and obtaining by false pretence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It added that the case is pending before the court, with Adeyemi expected to appear on July 27..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
