Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, has urged residents to embrace unity, cooperation and shared responsibility in support of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s development agenda.
He said sustainable development could only be achieved when government and citizens work together.
In a statement on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, Idahosa made the appeal at a thanksgiving service held in honour of the late mother of the Edo State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Jerry Uwangue.
Idahosa said Edo people must continue to support the policies and programmes of the Okpebholo administration, stressing that meaningful development thrives where there is mutual trust, collaboration and active citizen participation.
The deputy governor reaffirmed the commitment of the Okpebholo-led administration to implementing people-oriented policies and impactful projects aimed at improving the welfare and living standards of residents across the state.
He also urged citizens to remain steadfast in supporting government initiatives while praying for continued peace, stability and sustainable development in Edo State.
