A Benin-based legal practitioner and philanthropist, Olayiwola Afolabi, SAN, has been commended for his commitment to promoting the work of God after donating a Toyota Camry 2.4 car to Pastor Ebenezer Akinose.
The presentation took place on Sunday at
Deeper Life Bible Church Uwa District
in Benin City.
Speaking during the event, Afolabi, SAN said the donation was aimed at supporting pastors in ministry and making the work of God easier for them.
He explained that his desire is to see more ministers of God own vehicles and carry out their assignments with joy and comfort.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria disclosed that the latest donation is the ninth car he has given to pastors and other beneficiaries.
According to him, the gesture is not about pride, but about helping those in need.
He said it is foolishness for one man to keep twelve cars when others are in need of support.
The car key was presented to Pastor Akinose in the presence of other pastors and church members.
Responding, the recipient, Yoruba Church Pastor, Ebenezer Akinose and the clergy in charge of Deeper Life Bible Church Uwa District, Pastor Ogendegbe Abiodun, expressed appreciation to Afolabi for what they described as a generous and kingdom-minded gesture.
It will be recalled that the eighth car donated by Afolabi went to Pastor Joel Amas of Deeper Life Bible Church Agbado District.
Earlier, Pastor Amas delivered a short exhortation titled “God’s Faithfulness To His Faithful Ministers” anchored on Psalm 89 verse 24, urging ministers of God to remain faithful, avoid eye-service, and trust God for their reward in due season.
The presentation of the vehicle sparked celebrations among church members and residents of the surrounding neighbourhood.
The generous gesture attracted attention across the church community and beyond, with many describing it as a practical demonstration of Christian love and support for ministry.
