ROYAL MELODIES HOLDS GOSPEL OUTREACH IN BENIN, WINS SOULS, DONATES LAPTOPS AND RELIEF ITEMS

The gospel music group, Royal Melodies, has held a special evangelistic outreach at Deeper Life Bible Church, Uwa District, located at No. 10 Agadagudu Street, off TV Road, Benin City.

The programme, held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, brought together a large congregation of worshippers and attracted several new converts through gospel music ministrations and evangelism.

The outreach featured Bible quiz competitions for both the English and Yoruba congregations, special musical performances by Royal Melodies and a free eye screening and medical check-up for church members and invited guests.

Founder of Royal Melodies, Olayiwola Afolabi, SAN, presented seven laptops to members of the music group as a reward for their dedication, noting that the gifts would be distributed in batches until every member receives one.

He also donated a brand-new smartphone to the District Pastor of Uwa District, Pastor Abiodun Ogedengbe, while seven solar-powered fans and other gift items were presented to pastors and the families of some Royal Melodies members.

Winners of the Bible quiz competition received prizes including bags of rice, bags of garri, Bibles, cash, and dollar-denominated awards, while every new convert was presented with a copy of the Holy Bible and Christian literature.

Olayiwola Afolabi, SAN, expressed gratitude over the number of people who gave their lives to Christ and urged the new converts to remain steadfast in their Christian faith.

Some participants and church leaders described the outreach as impactful, commending the organiser for his commitment to advancing the Christian faith through evangelism and humanitarian support.

Medical personnel who conducted the free eye screening encouraged participants to take advantage of regular eye examinations for early detection and treatment of vision-related conditions.

All participants also received food packs, while the convener further supported a young girl he commended for her neat appearance with a cash gift of ₦50,000, a bag of garri, and a 10-kilogram bag of rice, expressing confidence in her promising future.
