President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday met with the National Communications Team at the State House, Abuja, charging members to strengthen public engagement and ensure Nigerians receive accurate information on government policies as the administration consolidates gains in the economy and security.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, who led the delegation, said the meeting enabled members of the government’s communications machinery to brief the President on public reactions to government programmes while also receiving firsthand guidance on the administration’s policy direction.
According to him, the President reaffirmed that the Nigerian economy has turned the corner and stressed the need to consolidate ongoing reforms to sustain growth and deliver greater benefits to citizens.
Idris also said President Tinubu expressed confidence in the progress being recorded against insecurity, attributing improvements to enhanced coordination among the country’s security and intelligence agencies under his leadership.
