The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero (AFUSTA) has issued a two-week ultimatum to Kebbi Government to address its demands or face an indefinite strike.
In a statement on Sunday jointly signed by Dr Isah Musa-Fakai and Dr Gado Abubakar, the Chairman and Secretary of the union respectively, the union said the ultimatum is a reminder to stakeholders and all concerned authorities to do the needful regarding the lingering demands.
It added that the government’s failure to address the issues affecting the university would compel the union to down tools.
According to them, the union will proceed on a total, comprehensive, and indefinite strike until all outstanding issues are completely resolved.
