I a related development, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has announced the temporary unavailability of its Central Admissions Processing System due to technical challenges with its hosting arrangements.
The disruption comes at a critical stage of the admission exercise, potentially affecting candidates and institutions that rely on the platform.
JAMB said it has commenced intensive engagement with the hosting organisation to resolve the issue and restore access as quickly as possible.
The Federal Government had declared in 2025 that admissions not processed through CAPS would be considered illegal, directing tertiary institutions to comply with the approved procedure.
JAMB has also recently expanded its digital services, approving a one-time update of registered GSM numbers and email addresses for candidates who have lost access to their original contact details.
