FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BEGINS TWO-WEEK KARA BRIDGE REPAIRS ON TUESDAY

The Federal Government will begin a two-week replacement of the expansion joint at Kara Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway today Tuesday, July 28.

The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation says the repair will reduce the existing four-lane carriageway to two lanes over a 1.5-kilometre stretch.

Motorists have been advised to expect partial traffic disruptions around the Kara axis during the repair period.

The ministry says moderate traffic is expected around Fatgbems Turn as some drivers make U-turns or divert to alternative routes while taffic heading towards Ibadan beyond Fatgbems Turn is expected to experience minimal disruption.

Kara Bridge is one of the busiest sections of the expressway, serving as a key link between Lagos, Ogun State and other parts of the country.
