
Following predictions by the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency, NIHSA that several states, including Edo, are expected to experience moderate flooding during the peak of the rainy season, residents of flood-prone communities in Benin City have called for urgent government intervention to reduce the potential impact on lives and property.
The warning comes as flooding has already begun affecting some parts of the state, with residents of Aduwawa and surrounding communities lamenting the recurring challenge.
