The Ondo State House of Assembly said it will not hold plenary until Speaker Hon. Olamide Oladiji resigns.
This was made known by the Assembly spokesperson Olatunji Ifabiyi on Monday.
Ifabiyi said the majority of lawmakers support the Speaker’s removal, with 21 of the 26 members signing a resolution to impeach him if he fails to resign.
The crisis follows calls for the Speaker’s resignation over an allegation of unilateral reordering of the N9.2 billion OSOPADEC 2025 budget.
